BRIGHTLINGSEA FEATURE FILM

A dramatic and magical love story set in Brightlingsea, North East Essex.
We follow the mysterious disappearance of Max, a local football hero with eyes on the premier league and his fiance Brooke, a broadcast journalist making a documentary series on the history of the town and Ava and her friends who believe they can talk to mermaids.
The film will shine a light on a number of historical figures and events, the Brightlingseafilm.co.uk website will host a wide selection of short documentaries to supplement the film creating a lasting historical record of the towns achievements, arts, characters and olympic  legends.
10% of the net profit from the production will be donated to the town to help fund future cultural and artistic endeavours.
Please contact me if you are interested in supporting, investing or just want to get involved to help bring this to the big screen. We want our project to be locally funded so the rewards go back to our community.

DOTTIE HAMILTON

BRIGHTLINGSEA FEATURE FILM

When I saw a post on Facebook asking for help in giving ‘Dottie’, an 89 year old resident at Alderwood Care Home in Colchester her wish to play a small part in a feature film, it chimed with me that this is what our project is all about.
The result is a wonderful improvised scene where Dottie’s character gets a visit from her grandson Max (co-lead)
I’m grateful to Carla Oshaughnessy for creating this opportunity and Nikky and Laura at Alderwood’s for supporting our afternoon shoot.
As for Lovely Dottie…the result speaks for itself and it has been a privilege for Max and I to make her wish come true.
